By
perpetuating its love for the regional land products, the Roque's
Distillery assigned itself a specific mission which was to convey
all the richness from the land.
The Vieille Noix, typical walnut-brandy from the Quercy Region,
is dark-coloured and full-bodied. It remarkably keeps the rich
flavour of the walnut while it softy reduces its bitterness.
That gives a peculiar and attractive taste to the pastries and
ice-cream based desserts, but also, it contributes to the making
of original sauces for fried duck or groose fat livers, true
a culinary wonder.
However, this journey to the country of flavours wouldn't be
complete, without La Belle du Causse, a liquor made from juniper
berries, or La Belle Chataigne (chestnut-made liquor) with its
aromatized sweetness, or Le Grand Armagnac à la truffe, a subtle
association of the famous brandy and the strong fragrance of
truffle, the black diamond of the Perigord.
